It is not just about sleeping a sufficient number of hours, but about achieving deep and restorative sleep, in which the body activates its natural repair processes.

Through this research it is pointed out that improving the environment in which we sleep “can become a relevant preventive strategy”, since during the night the body performs “key functions such as cell regeneration, regulation of the immune system or metabolic balance“.

Along these lines, we have analyzed how to intervene on environmental factors during rest that could enhance these biological processes. These pre-clinical studies linked to technologies such as Biow suggest that optimizing the bedroom environment, especially in relation to respiration and cellular oxygenation, allows promoting cell renewal during the night without requiring active changes in daily behavior.

Acting on variables such as air quality, breathing or sleep efficiency could help reduce the probability of developing diseases even before the first symptoms appear.
