The virtual health card in Andalusia is now available

The Andalusia virtual health card can be used starting this Thursday, March 26 through mobile phones and tablets. This was announced by the Minister of Health, Presidency and Emergencies, Antonio Sanz, who presented this “tool” that “is going to change permanently the way in which the Andalusians relate to your healthcare system and your health data”.

The event was also attended by the president of the Andalusian Council of Colleges of Pharmacists, Antonio Mingorance; the managing director of the SAS, Garcia Valley; the general secretary of Research, Innovation and Digital Health, Aurea Morillo; the general director of Information and Communications Technologies at the SAS, Ismael Vargas; the territorial delegate of Health in Seville, Silvia Pozo; deputy director of Pharmacy of the SAS, Eutimio the Third; and the owner of the pharmacy where the presentation took place, Bibiana Pérez-Solano.

“Today Andalusia takes a giant step on its path to the forefront and is once again a pioneer in Spain,” said the counselor, as stated in a statement, and explained that the new SAS virtual health card will be operational. through the Citizen Folder and of the Salud Andalucía and ClicSalud+ apps. With it, citizens, “thanks to its interoperability and the use of a highly secure dynamic QR code”, They can be identified in any health center. It will also activate the Virtual Waiting Room“an innovative system that is activated during peaks of high demand to guarantee that the ClicSalud+ portal and the Professional Electronic Window (VEC) never go down”; he Virtual Health Districtwhich will offer an alternative in case there is no appointment at the health center; the direct pharmacy-doctor communication for chronic patients who need to renew their medication; in addition to guaranteeing “that no one is left behind in this revolutiontraining our elders in the use of these SAS digital tools”, with the support of the Puntos Vuela Network, which has more than 760 centers in Andalusia.

“With this card we eliminate unnecessary bureaucratic borders and demonstrate that Andalusia is moving towards zero paper with secure digitization“, he stated, recalling that all these measures are part of the Digital Health Strategy 2030 (ESDA), which, he detailed, “will integrate information and communication technologies to optimize management, improve accessibility and personalize patient care, laying the foundations for a more efficient and citizen-centered health system.”
