The Spanish Confederation of Medical Unions (CESM) reported this Monday that the first day of national strike for a Framework Statute for doctors and physicians has been closely followed by the 90 percent in Hospital Care and 85 percent in Primary Care, as average across all autonomous communities.

CESM has expressed his “satisfaction” for figures that represent “an important monitoring success”, taking into account the established minimum services, which reach 75 percent in non-essential services and 100 percent in essential services in some communities. The five days of strike take place after the demonstration held in Madrid this Saturday, which brought together a total of 5,000 doctors and practitionersaccording to data from the Government Delegation, to show their rejection of the draft Framework Statute signed between the Ministry of Health and unions in the Negotiation Area and demand their own text for the group.

This week of strike is the first of five planned until June. The following are scheduled for the weeks of April 27 to 30, from May 18 to 22 and from June 15 to 19.

The own Framework Statute
