CLM promotes ‘Human Care’ to humanize healthcare

The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has launched the Human Care project, a pioneering vocational training initiative aimed at promote humanization in healthcare. The project is promoted jointly by the Ministry of Health, through the General Directorate of Humanization and Socio-Health Care, and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, from the General Directorate of Vocational Training, as reported by the Board in an official note.

The initiative is developed through the production of short, practical and educational videos. high pedagogical and social impactconceived as educational tools that encourage reflection on essential aspects of the healthcare relationship.

In this first phase, they have been recorded four thematic videos that address central issues related to healthcare. The titles are “Humanization of health training”, “Critical moments-Ambulance”, “The voice of the patient-Mental health” and “Critical moments 2 -ICU/Oncology”.

The recordings were made in several educational and health institutions in the region, including the IES Lorenzo Hervás y Panduro and the IES Fernando Zóbel in Cuenca, as well as at the Faculty of Nursing of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM). In the preparation of the contents, they have participated students and teachers of Professional Training in the areas of Health, Social Health and Image and Sound, together with professionals from the Health Service of Castilla-La Mancha (SESCAM), who have collaborated by contributing their experience to enrich the pedagogical materials.

The audiovisual resources produced aim to serve as support material in the training of students in Health and Social Health Vocational Training, as well as in university programs related to health sciences. They will also be used in training actions aimed at SESCAM professionals and in awareness campaigns. citizen awareness through the institutional channels of the ministries involved.

The main purpose of the project is to integrate these videos into real teaching programs and encourage debate about humanization, communication and support in health care.

After completing the filming phase, the project has entered the editing and video editing stage. Once this phase is completed, it is planned to dissemination through institutional channels of the ministries (web pages, social networks and media), as well as the organization of galas and presentation events in different educational and health centers to highlight the collaborative work carried out.

María Teresa Marín Rubiogeneral director of Humanization and Social Health Care, highlighted that the project demonstrates that the humanization of health care advances when education and health are combined, especially through the professional training of future health personnel, promoting not only technical competence but also emotional, ethical and relational aspects.
