The 12 de Octubre University Hospital leads three specialties, while the Ramón y Cajal, Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Bellvitge and HM Sanchinarro hospitals lead a specialty each one.
The ten main clinical services in public hospitals are as follows: Allergology, Clinical Analysis/Clinical Biochemistry, Cardiology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Pediatric Surgery are led by the La Paz University Hospital; Pathological anatomy stands out at the 12 de Octubre University Hospital; Anesthesiology and resuscitation at the Gregorio Marañón General University Hospital; Angiology and vascular surgery at the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital; Digestive system at the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona, and General surgery and digestive system also in Vall d’Hebron.
