Infanta Elena Hospital, Top 20 Award

He Infanta Elena University Hospitala public hospital in the Community of Madrid, added three new endorsements to its balance of results in certain areas and clinical processes upon receiving the Top 20 Award in the category of Global Hospital Managementin addition to two other areas, in the XXVI edition of the Top20 program, which every year, for more than a quarter of a century, has awarded IQVIA to recognize good practices in the hospital sector depending on the areas of specialty and criteria of excellence.

Specifically, in this year’s edition of the awards, in which 190 hospitals from the Spanish public-private network from numerous autonomous communities participated, and whose presentation was held in Madrid, bringing together numerous representatives from the entire health ecosystem of our country, the Infanta Elena University Hospital received a total of three awards that recognize its hospitality excellence and collected by the corresponding people responsible for the areas involved.

Among the recognitions granted to Infanta Elena, the Top 20 Award in the category of Global Hospital Managementwithin the group of Large public hospitalswhich was collected by Marta del Olmo, territorial manager of the hospital; Dr. Jorge Short, deputy territorial manager; Dr. Adriana Pascual, medical director; and Pilar de Gustín, director of Nursing.

IQVIA also recognized the Valdemoreño hospital with the Top 20 Award in the area of Kidney and Urinary Tractwithin the ‘Hospitals with medical nephrology’, which was collected by Dr. Adrián Husillos, head of the Urology Service; Beatriz Botrán, Nursing supervisor of the same service; and Dr. Pascual.

Likewise, Dr. Javier García Sanz and José Manuel Cecilia, specialist and Nursing supervisor, respectively, of the ICU; and Dr. Pascual received the Top 20 award in the Critical Patient Care Area at the level of Hospitals without neurosurgery.

The Infanta Elena University Hospital has acquired the three Top 20 awardsstanding out among the 190 participating hospitals, public and private, from different autonomous communities, among which the most advanced and efficient have been recognized, based on their size and management, in 11 areas. These are the ones mentioned Kidney and Urinary Tract and Critical Patient Carenext to Musculoskeletal, Nervous system, Heart, Respiratory, Pediatrics, Women, Emergencies, Hospital Costs and Digestive, the latter specialty in which the Valdemoreño hospital has also been a finalist, in addition to Global Hospital Management.

According to the organization, this program is based on objective indicators obtained from information extracted from the basic minimum set of data that all centers report on hospitalized patients, and in which Public and private hospitals participate free, voluntarily and anonymously; a comparison process in which the centers are not evaluated together, but rather are analyzed based on the establishment of levels according to their size and degree of specialization.
